1. Agreement to these terms
By accessing or using LaneResults (the website, installable apps, and related services, together the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you use the Service on behalf of a bowling center, league, or organization, you confirm you are authorized to accept these terms for it. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What LaneResults is
LaneResults is independent software for running bowling brackets, tournaments, side pots, and leagues, and for tracking personal bowling statistics. It is a record-keeping and calculation tool. Hosts, directors, and secretaries remain solely responsible for how their events are run, including rules, entry fees, payouts, prize funds, eligibility, and compliance with any sanctioning body, gaming, or local laws.
3. No affiliation or endorsement
LaneResults is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or otherwise associated with any bowling equipment manufacturer, distributor, governing body, software company, or hardware maker. This includes, without limitation, Storm Products, Roto Grip, 900 Global, Hammer, Brunswick, Ebonite, Track, Columbia 300, Motiv, Radical, DV8, Seismic, Kegel, the United States Bowling Congress (USBC), the PBA, the PWBA, CDE Software, Bowling League Secretary (BLS), Ruby, Witsee, F5, LaneTalk, Bowwwl, and Tenpin Toolkit.
All product names, ball names, pattern names, company names, logos, and brands are the trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective owners. They appear on LaneResults only to identify products a user owns, uses, or is comparing (nominative fair use), and their appearance does not imply any relationship with or endorsement by the owner.
4. Equipment data, patterns, and visuals
Ball specifications (such as RG, differential, coverstock type, and approval dates) and lane pattern measurements are factual information drawn from public sources, including published approval lists and user-supplied pattern sheets. Facts are not owned by any company, and LaneResults makes no claim of ownership over them.
Ball, lane, pin, and motion graphics in the Service are original, procedurally generated illustrations created by LaneResults. They are approximations for entertainment and practice planning, not reproductions of any manufacturer's artwork, CAD models, core designs, or marketing materials.
Ball and core (weight block) product photographs are not LaneResults assets and are not hosted as our own originals. They are sourced from and credited to Bowwwl.com, which provides equipment data and imagery for the ball picker, arsenal manager, and lane simulator, and are shown with that credit wherever they appear. Those photographs remain the property of Bowwwl.com and of the manufacturers whose products they depict, and their display does not mean any manufacturer licensed their artwork to LaneResults, supplied our images, or is affiliated with us. Where a photograph is not available from Bowwwl.com, the Service shows an original rendered color swatch instead of a manufacturer image.
Simulator paths, predictions, and Lane Vision measurements are estimates only. They are not manufacturer data, are not guaranteed to be accurate, and should not be relied on for equipment purchases, drilling decisions, or competitive outcomes.
5. File imports
LaneResults can read files you choose to upload, such as league standing sheets or sensor exports. Imports are read on your own device or account at your direction to move your own data. You are responsible for having the right to use any file you upload. LaneResults does not distribute, resell, or modify any third-party software.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of content you submit, including rosters, scores, photos, videos, and league files ("Your Content"). You grant LaneResults a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, and display Your Content only as needed to operate the Service — for example, to calculate standings and show public results for events you publish.
You confirm you have the right to submit Your Content, including the names and scores of bowlers in your events, and that it does not infringe anyone's rights. Do not upload content you do not have permission to share.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to: misuse or attempt to break the Service's security; access another host's or bowler's data without permission; scrape or bulk-copy the Service; reverse engineer the Service except where law expressly allows; upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful material; or use the Service to run illegal gambling or to defraud participants.
8. LaneResults intellectual property
The Service, including its software, bracket and pairing logic, standings engines, simulator, Lane Vision tools, design, text, graphics, and the LaneResults name and logo, is owned by LaneResults and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. These terms do not give you any right to use the LaneResults name or logo, or to copy or resell the Service.
9. Subscriptions and payments
Paid plans (host plans, league seasons, single-event passes, and the Bowler Pass) are billed at the price shown at checkout. Recurring plans renew until cancelled; you can cancel any time and keep access through the end of the paid period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Trial and single-event data may be removed after the event concludes as described on the pricing page. Prices and included features may change with notice.
10. Copyright and trademark concerns
We respect the rights of others and respond promptly to legitimate notices. If you believe something on LaneResults infringes your copyright or trademark, email support@laneresults.com with: your contact information; a description of the work or mark; the page address where the material appears; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner. We will review and, where appropriate, remove or change the material. Accounts that repeatedly infringe may be terminated.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that scores, standings, payouts, or calculations will be correct. Hosts should verify results before paying out prizes.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, LANERESULTS AND ITS OWNERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, PRIZE MONEY, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID LANERESULTS IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR $50 IF YOU PAID NOTHING.
LaneResults is not a party to any dispute between hosts, bowlers, leagues, or centers, including disputes over scores, brackets, payouts, or prize funds.
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend and hold harmless LaneResults and its owners from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from Your Content, your events, your violation of these terms, or your violation of anyone else's rights.
14. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end access for anyone who violates these terms or uses the Service in a way that could harm others or expose LaneResults to liability.
15. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and continued use means you accept the changes. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
